Indonesia Volcano Eruption Again, Thousands Of People Evacuated

Local time on June 6, 2015, Indonesia's North Sumatra Sukanalu village, Mount Sinabung eruption of a large number of ash. Indonesia's Mount Sinabung activities from June 4 became active again, close to more than 2,700 villagers were forced to evacuate their homes.


Mount Sinabung, located about 1,300 kilometers northwest of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, is located more than 60 kilometers southwest of the North Sumatra provincial capital of Medan city at the height of about 2460 meters, this active volcano has been quiet since 1600, is the seat of dormant volcanoes. However, after the local time August 28, 2010 at midnight, MountSinabung Carolina district in North Sumatra province of Indonesia in silence suddenly erupted 400 years later. According to official Indonesian 29 confirmed the same day at the beginning of the eruption of Mount Sinabung has caused at least two deaths.

February 1, 2014, Mount Sinabung erupted, spewing hot volcanic debris, killing at least 11 people were killed.


Most of Indonesia's volcanoes are derived from the Sunda arc. Sunda island arc by the Indian Plate and the Indian - Australian plate caused by the subduction zone, surrounded by the Andaman Islands and east of Banda arc.


Mount Sinabung is a long andesite and dacite stratovolcano, a total of four craters, but of which only one is active.
